Bethesda Terrace

Bethesda Terrace with its famous fountain has been a part of Central Park since its opening in the 1860s. Overlooking the Lake and the Bramble, it's one of many photo opportunties within the park.

  In the original movie version of Mel Brooks' The Producers, it was at the fountain in Lincoln Center that Max Bialystock finally convinced Leo Bloom to take part in his crazy scheme, but in the 2005 musical version, it is here on the lip of Bethesda Fountain that Leo proclaims, "I want everything I've ever seen in the movies!"
