This Ivy League school was founded in 1754 as Kings College. It moved to its current location in Morningside Heights in 1896. Not only has the campus been used in many films, but Columbia also boasts many famous alumni, such as; James Cagney, Matthew Fox, Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal, Ed Harris, Famke Janssen, Anna Paquin, Amanda Peet, George Segal and Julia Stiles among many others.
