Madison Square Garden
This is the fourth incarnation of the world's most famous arena. The first two, built in the 1800's were located on Madison Square, hence the name. The third was built on 50th and 8th. The tragedy of this new version, which opened in 1968, is that it was built on the site of the grand old Pennsylvania Train Station, which was torn down to make way for progress.
